Sacramento District
So it was a good time to leave
Yes. If it was going to happen, that was a good time.
This is [refers to photograph] from the Sacramento District when Bill Doyle retired. You
might like to talk to him and Amalio Gomez. Gomez was Chief of the Engineering Division
when I went to Sacramento. When I went out there, HEC was still a part of the Sacramento
District. At the time I went to Sacramento, there were about five people in the District who
were in the same graduating class at the University of California, Berkeley. I think three of
them went on to become Chief of the Engineering Division.
Gomez only recently retired, didn't he?
